The paper, “An Efficient Front-End for Timing-Directed Parallel Simulation of Multi-Core System”, authored by Zhenjiang Dong, Jun Wang, George Riley, and Sudhakar Yalamanchili, has been accepted by SIMUTools 2014. This paper describes an improvement to QSim Server for efficient parallel simulation of multicore models. In this improvement, proxy processes are created that act as intermediary between the server and the clients. The proxies communicate with the server through TCP/IP, but work with the clients in a producer-consumer manner using shared memory segments. Experiments...

The paper, “Manifold: a parallel simulation framework for multicore systems”, has been accepted by the 2014 IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software (ISPASS). This paper officially introduces Manifold to the research community as a component-based software framework with a parallel simulation kernel, a set of architectural components, and an integrated library of power, thermal, reliability, and energy models. Distinguishing features of Manifold include i) transparent parallel execution, ii) integration of power, thermal, reliability, and energy...
